Spherion is seeking reliable Warehouse Associates for WEEKEND ONLY - DAY SHIFT positions (12-hour Shifts on Friday-Saturday-Sunday = 36 hours/week). This is a good position for the right candidate with a solid work history, reliable transportation, reliable attendance and a positive attitude. Shifts are 12 hours.

The regular weekly schedule is Friday-Saturday-Sunday, 7:00am-7:30pm.

Pay Rate: $17.75/hour (paid weekly)

Job Purpose:

Perform daily tasks including, but not limited to, selecting, packing, scanning, sorting, labeling, loading, value-added services (VAS), shipping, reworks and/or other functions as assigned to achieve projected volume and quality goals. Accurately process orders in and out of the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to process all bar-coded products
• Identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperwork
• Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
• Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
• Other duties as assigned

Key Relationships:

• Operations management team
• Distribution Center - Training Lead
• Inbound/Outbound Distribution personnel

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Basic computer skills such as internet, Windows, ability to use a mouse and/or touchscreen
• Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, count and distinguish colors
• Good communication skills
• Ability to use equipment, including but not limited to, box knife, RF scanner, manual and power pallet jacks
• No Forklift required
• Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day
• Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
• Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
• Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
• Drug Screens and Background Checks will be completed

Job Type: Full-time
