Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Video Teleconference (VTC)Technician. This position will be located in Shaw AFB, SC   and will be an on-site   position.

Responsibilities:

Provide VTC support. The contractor shall:

• Install, administer, OM&S VTC systems;
• Perform OM&S actions IAW SPIN-C and commercial and equipment standards.
• Provide VTC Bridge Support, act as the focal point for scheduling and day-to-day coordination of CENTCOM AOR-wide VTC reservations. The VTC operations center requires manning to support this service as well as unexpected VTC support during off duty hours;
  1. Assist customers with new requirements, provide suggestions within AFCENT guidelines that meet their needs;
  2. Assist customers with direct or bridged connectivity to GVS services, if needed.
  3. Develop and maintain professional working relationship with other bridging/hub locations, to include GVS, CENTCOM, ARCENT.
  4. Adhere to AFCENT SPIN-C/CONOPS VTC policy and procedures in daily operations and when dealing with users within AFCENT AOR.
• Support Squadron Level VTC functions to include:
  1. Perform site surveys to assist customer with technical solutions for AV/VTC requirements;
  2. Install, configure, O&M Cisco VTC endpoints to include C-Series, MX, SX, EX, DX, and Spark series;
  3. Install AV equipment including flat screen monitors, projectors, if required, speakers, microphones, cameras, audio amplifiers, cabling, and other miscellaneous items associated with VTC installation;
  4. Train local facilitators on set-up and operation of systems installed in their areas;
  5. Coordinate with local Network Technicians for installation, removal, and replacement of endpoints;
  6. Troubleshoot and correct local issues as it relates to VTC connectivity (e.g., media converters, cabling);
  7. Troubleshoot touch panel control systems for conference room AV/VTC malfunctions down to a specific device;
  8. Load and reload code/software into the control systems, as required.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)

Clearance Required: Secret

 

• High School diploma or GED
• IAT-II Certification
• Intermediate-level practical experience in: shop practices; installation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of VTC bridge systems or equipment; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment
• Intermediate-level experience in maintaining/troubleshooting: TMS software; Cisco devices (Codecs and MCUs (53XX Series)); Cisco network enterprise devices (VCS-Control, VCS-Expressway, Expressway Core and Edge); Cisco CR Codecs (C/SX/MX/Spark-Series); Cisco desktops (EX/DX series); Control systems EXTRON/AMX/CRESTRON components; CRESTRON and AMX touch panel [interfaces] and associated software; Audio subsystems (amplifiers, mixers, microphone and speaker systems); Media devices (e.g., DVD players, VCRs, etc.); Multimedia display (e.g., projectors, LCD, plasma, LED displays)

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range: USD $49,380.00 - USD $65,766.00 /Yr.
