Requirements
Brief Job Description The team member assists everyone associated with the outside golf operation in the management of day-to-day golf operations at the facility. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of member and guest service with a focus on total customer satisfaction. This position is designed to provide the necessary exposure, experience, and preparation for this individual to pursue future growth and development within the golf industry.
The Person We are Looking for Will - Greet all Members and Guests by name and in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist with and complete all opening and closing procedures as outlined by management staff
- Assist with golf cart fleet management to include proper cleaning, charging, and maintenance practices
- Store golf bags in the correct bag stall in the bag room
- Load golf bags onto golf carts for daily play or tournaments
- Stage golf carts in the golf staging area in an organized manner
- At bag drop, greet Members & Guests, retrieve bags from arriving cars, and stage golf clubs on carts
- Assist starters and rangers with on-course assistance as requested
- Record all cart numbers on the tee sheet to corresponding tee times
- Oversee the daily maintenance of the practice facility that is focused on a high level of detail, organization, cleanliness, and presentation
- Manage setup and breakdown of the practice tee lines and short game practice areas (bag stands, alignment boards, club cleaners, towels, benches, yardage devices, practice balls, tees, and other supplies) as detailed in the SOP manual to ensure a positive experience for all golfers
- Continual upkeep of practice tee amenities and setup, as well as the chipping and putting greens
- Operate the motorized ball picking unit and hand-pick all range balls to maintain par levels in the range baskets; adhere to the Golf Maintenance Schedule
- Perform scheduled and routine maintenance of the range-picking cart, utility vehicle, and ball-picking unit with the assistance of a mechanic and club facility staff
- Communicate all issues to golf management staff regarding Member/Guest concerns
- Report on any malfunctioning work equipment
- Maintain appropriate levels of critical golf supplies (tees, pencils, scorecards, towels, etc.)
- Study the tournament/event calendar to be able to communicate details with Members/Guests
- Other duties as assigned
What We Would Like You to Have - Valid State issued Driver's License
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 40 pounds
- Team members will primarily work no more than 40 hours per week. However, based on required service levels, these hours could be more or less.
