Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervises a combination of two or more of the following: machine shop, tool making, maintenance, electrical, or other skilled employees.

Job Duties

· Responsible for equipment repairs, coordinating routine maintenance on all facility machinery, completing equipment installation, upgrades and maintenance as required. Following through with training and development of staff, including; estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

· Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

· Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

· Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

· Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices

· Lead and direct the work of other employees

· Typically have some full authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actions

· Typically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 5 or more years of experience

· Ability to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements Include standing for long periods of time. Ability to get into congested areas and evaluate and/or troubleshoot equipment. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching and lifting.
