Job Description

Rate of Pay : $20.22/hour USD

The Laundry Attendants responsibilities include but are not limited to overlooking specific processing tasks related to Sheets Pillowcases Bath Towels Bath Mats Hand towels Wash Cloths Dish Towels Dish Cloths Golf Towels Tennis Towels Spa Towels Pool Side Towels and Food & Beverage Linen.   

  • This position is dependent on both teamwork and a solid foundation based on the mechanical hour capacity.   

  • The individual will also be responsible for linen flow as it relates to the sorting areas folding areas and pressing areas.   

  • A basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of customer needs which would be outlined each morning in lineup.   

  • Maintain an excellent relationship with all departments in particular Housekeeping Food & Beverage Pool Spa and Engineering. 

  • Maintain excellent communication within the Laundry department as well as with all other departments. 

  • Have full knowledge of the hotels emergency procedures. 

  • Maintain a safe working environment. 

  • Participate in meetings. 

Qualifications :

The individual must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of knowledge skills and abilities: 

  • High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.   

  • Previous experience is a plus.   

  • Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and written.   

  • Reading and counting is essential. 

  • Requires limited knowledge of Laundry yet must show an aptitude to secure minimum levels of skills and abilities that would allow for a proficient job orientation based on specific tasks and methods.  

  • This is to provide a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations that would protect both the employee and coworkers. 

  • Excellent team spirit. 

  • Ability to handle many conflicting priorities at any given time. 

  • Able to work well under pressure. 

Physical Demands: 

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors.   

  • Able to work in high heat indexes. 

  • Must be able to bend stoop squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. 

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
