Job Description

Human Resources and Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources
  1. Assist in onboarding processes.
  2. Assist with HR record keeping and maintaining organized and up to date HR personnel files.
  3. Track new employee immunization and medical requirements.
  4. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions, referring them to other HR staff as required.
  5. Create and manage employee and family surveys.
  6. Maintain staff file archives.
  7. Manage center substitutes:
a. Communicate with centers about substitute needs

b. Communicate with substitutes regularly through monthly check-ins and biannual surveys

c. Review seasonal substitute calendars and communicate staffing needs to Personnel Director

d. Assist with onboarding and orientation

e. Approve substitute timecards

Administrative Assistant
  1. Assist administrative staff as needed.
  2. Answer phones and greet visitors.
  3. Website and email updates for new employees.
  4. Meeting minutes
  5. Manage company First Aid/CPR courses.
  6. Oversee staff appreciation.
  7. Stock office supplies and maintain shared spaces.
  8. Print enrollment, tour, substitute and orientation packets.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Experience working in a childcare setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with graphic design/advertising through social media.
  • Experience with recruiting and payroll software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Organizational skills relating to time management and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
