Job Description
Job Summary The Collections Specialist will handle reconciliation and collections responsibilities across multiple locations at Altruix. They will monitor and facilitate payments on past due customer balances and will work with other members of the billing & collections team in various tasks, including customer support related to accounts receivable. This role will be based out of the Annapolis, MD location and will report to the Director of Billing and Collections.
Main Responsibilities - Accurately reconcile payments from customers, payors, and other vendors in various 3rd party systems on a timely basis.
- Monitor account balances on a regular basis
- Contact customers regarding past due amounts
- Receive calls, accept customer payments, and assist with customer inquiries
- Work with other members of the Billing and Collections team to resolve customer issues as well as identify and troubleshoot invoicing discrepancies
- Assist with administrative tasks when assigned
Minimum Qualifications - High SchoolGED - bachelors preferred
- 2 years basic accountingcollections background
- 2 years customer service background
- Data Entry experience
- Proficient in use of Excel. Outlook, and word
Preferred Qualifications An ideal collections and data entry specialist would have experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting and be able to perform in a high-volume, fast paced environment, while maintaining a strong attention to detail necessary for accurate payment processing and reconciliation. They should have excellent communication and customer service skills to help facilitate timely customer payments. They must be a well-organized and productive multitasker that works well with other members of the Billing & Collections team. The specialist will need to be able to learn and navigate multiple 3rd party systems and maintain high accuracy during data entry tasks. Experience in pharmacy management systems and NetRx is a plus.
