SCHWEITZER BANQUET BARTENDER
JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Banquet Bartender
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal - Part time
STARTING PAY: $14/hr. + Gratuities
SUPERVISORY: No
SUPERVISED BY: Banquet Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide guest service in a hosted or non-hosted bar by preparing and serving beverages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: Opens bar by BEO instructions, counts till, and performs bar prepping and set up. Responsible for inventory and stocking of products, mixing beverages, and providing a high level of guest service. Must identify guests in accordance with Idaho State liquor and identification laws. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Will be required to collect payment and or keep track of beverage consumption depending on event guidelines. Responsible for closing bar which includes disconnecting taps, disposing of trash, kegs, bottles, locking of all cabinets and doors, and returning accurate deposits and consumptions sheets. Must be able to maintain bar cleanliness throughout shift and complete strict end of shift cleaning duties. Must be available most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Including Schweitzer festival weekends. Will fill in to banquet serve and work outdoor festival tents. Will work at multiple Schweitzer venues to fulfill group events and weddings needs which include but not limited to The Sky House, outdoor locations, and The Lakeview Lodge.
Must strictly adhere to banquets uniform standards PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 10 hours per shift. Will get breaks as available. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 60% inside. All sensory skills needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and are not limited to these items.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Mixology, detail oriented, multi-tasking, efficiency.
EDUCATION: Banquets menu knowledge; English reading, writing, and communication; basic math; knowledge of Idaho State Liquor and identification laws.
EXPERIENCE: One year mixed drink bartending with demonstrated competence.
LICENSE NEEDED: Alcohol Awareness Training (may acquire during employment)
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Blender, coffee machine, dishwasher, dumbwaiter, knife, taps, regulators cash register and Squirrel POS.
