Summary

Provide development, programming, testing and implementation of new and existing business applications and production systems support. Application development is for Client/Server and Web based applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of an Applications Services and Support team.
  • Participate in full software development life cycle with primary focus on programming and testing activities.
  • Design, analyze, implement, develop, test, cutover, maintain and provide knowledge transfer for all supported applications
  • Interact with clients regarding the nature of the business need or issue to be addressed.
  • Review and interpret business requirements and develop detailed technical requirements.
  • Analyze requirements and determine how it will affect new or existing systems.
  • Build Unit, System, Integration test case scenarios based on the requirements.
  • Construct programming elements such as classes, components, subsystems.
  • Construct database elements such as tables, views, stored procedure, functions, triggers.
  • Execute test cases in test environments and document the results.
  • Analyze/troubleshoot production defects and implement resolutions for root causes.
  • Perform maintenance and operational activities such as generating reports, correcting data.
  • Create/update system or user documentation.
  • Train users and help desk personals on custom and packaged software.
  • Follow IT development processes such as change management, configuration management, security compliances
  • Interact with customers to solve problems quickly and effectively - desktop and user support
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, both verbally and in writing.

Skill Requirements:
  • Five of more (5+) years experience in programming languages to include latest Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET, C#, SQL, Crystal Reports, and other client approved development tools.
  • Experience with the following operating systems: MS Windows Server and Desktop.
  • Experience with the following Databases: SQL and Oracle.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving, skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Open-minded / willing to learn - good attitude
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must pass approval for airport badge
  • Must pass approval for Custom and Border Protection airport access
  • Required participate in on-call rotation
