Description

Adjunct- Education

The Education Department of Iona University is seeking adjuncts for undergraduate and graduate courses beginning in the Spring 2025 semester. Candidates with certification and k-12 experience in special education are needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Teach graduate-level courses online in the evenings
  • Teach undergraduate courses during the day
  • Assist in data collection and reporting on behalf of the department as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Earned Master's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, special education, or a related field, or equivalent training.
  • Certified in one or more of the following content areas: special education, bilingual education, reading/literacy, and math
  • Taught or currently teaching in a k-12 environment for 3+ years
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Earned Doctoral degree in education, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, special education, or a related field, or equivalent training.
  • Expertise in dyslexia and structured literacy reading instruction.
  • Experience teaching at the university level.
  • Experience with online learning environments.

Salary Range: $1248 - $1531 per credit based on course level and qualifications
